Abstract generation in progress
ME News message, April 24 (UTC+8), according to Beating monitoring, Luo Fuli, head of Xiaomi’s large model team, judges that currently in China there are already multiple companies, including Kimi and MiMo, that have base models with more than 1T parameters, and there is basically no gap between China and the US in the pre-training stage. Luo Fuli said that, because domestic teams have certain advantages in pre-training architecture, as long as they respond to the Agent paradigm fast enough, the actual gap between domestic models and top overseas models such as Claude Opus 4.6 is only two or three months. She believes the next two or three months will be a critical window for testing the overall research level, technical agility, and ability to embrace new paradigms of each large model team. Regarding the AGI process, she estimates that the current progress has reached 20%, and this year it is expected to advance to 60% to 70%, with AGI expected to be achieved within two years. Since the surge activation of open-source Agent frameworks (such as OpenClaw) has triggered swarm intelligence—allowing two-way iteration between frameworks and models—this is greatly accelerating the R&D process.
