ME News message: On July 1 (UTC+8), CACEIS, the asset servicing institution under Crédit Agricole (France), launched the euro-pegged stablecoin EURO eXchange Token (EURXT) on the Ethereum blockchain. CACEIS announced the news today and completed the first subscription of Amundi’s tokenized money market fund using EURXT. EURXT is pegged 1:1 to the euro, and in the initial stage it is mainly aimed at institutional investors and corporate clients.

The project whitepaper shows that EURXT has no hard issuance cap, and its supply will be adjusted according to market demand via the smart contract system. According to data from the project website, at launch EURXT had a circulating supply of 20.02 million tokens, supported by approximately €20.02 million in reserves held by CACEIS Bank. The stablecoin complies with the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. Previously, in June 2025, CACEIS obtained a MiCA crypto asset service provider license issued by French regulators.
