CoinWorld News, according to two industry sources, Russia has begun importing gasoline by sea from India in an effort to alleviate fuel shortages caused by Ukrainian attacks on its energy infrastructure. The impact of the fuel shortage has been felt across Russia, with rationing, long queues at gas stations, and record-high gasoline prices. The Kremlin said on Tuesday that Russia is in contact with other countries to discuss importing fuel at reasonable prices. One industry source said at least 60k tons of gasoline have been shipped from India to Russia. Another source said two tankers have already set sail, each carrying between 30k and 40k tons of gasoline.
