The essence of going on blind dates is to bring together the group of people who are least competitive in the dating market so they can choose from one another.

A truly capable man doesn’t need blind dates at all—he filters by himself in real-life social settings.
A truly valuable woman also wouldn’t place her hopes on blind dates.
The blind date market is basically a concentrated “low-spec” marriage market, and people who go in are basically carrying the idea of “making do” with them.
So the reason blind dates have a low success rate isn’t a probability problem—it’s a screening mechanism problem!!!!
