1️⃣SUMCO TYO: 3436

Full name: Sumco Corporation. It is the world's second-largest manufacturer of semiconductor-grade silicon wafers, and together with Shin-Etsu, they account for approximately 60% of global wafer production.
Its main products include monocrystalline silicon ingots, polished wafers, annealed wafers, epitaxial wafers, SOI wafers, and reclaimed polished wafers, used for 200mm/300mm wafer production.
All front-end processes for DRAM/NAND/HBM start with 300mm silicon wafers provided by suppliers like SUMCO, making it the first step of the entire memory CapEx.
2️⃣Applied Materials $AMAT
Materials engineering + multi-process platform, a high-weight beneficiary of DRAM CapEx.
Also a one-stop service provider, offering deposition (CVD/ALD/PECVD), etching, ion implantation, CMP, inspection, and related software and services, covering logic, memory, and display industries.
3️⃣Lam Research $LRCX
Etch and thin films, core supplier for 3D NAND deep trench/via
Lam is one of the global leaders in etch and thin-film equipment, and one of the top five WFE vendors; together with TEL, AMAT, ASML, and KLA, they account for over 80% of global wafer fab equipment spending.
Its main products cover semiconductor manufacturing equipment for etching, deposition, and cleaning, with core competitiveness in high-aspect-ratio etch and related thin-film processes.
4️⃣TEL (TYO: 8035)
Tokyo Electron: Comprehensive front-end equipment platform, the "full-process water seller" for memory lines.
TEL is one of the comprehensive front-end equipment platforms, with strong product lines in etching, film formation, coating/developing (before and after lithography), cleaning, and surface treatment, and is one of the top five WFE equipment vendors.
Its business primarily targets the semiconductor and display industries, covering multiple front-end steps in the semiconductor segment, with DRAM/NAND fabs as core customers.
5️⃣$ASML
Lithography machines, everyone knows them, so no need to elaborate.
6️⃣KLA $KLAC
Process control and inspection.
Provides defect inspection, metrology, and yield management software, regarded as the "eyes and brain" in logic and memory manufacturing.
Its equipment is used for defect inspection and structural measurement at various front-end process nodes, helping wafer fabs optimize processes, improve yield, and shorten development cycles.
Except for the first company, SUMCO, the remaining five are the global top five WFE (Wafer Fab Equipment) vendors.
