ME News report: On April 23 (UTC+8), the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday that U.S. crude oil inventories increased last week, while gasoline and refined oil inventories declined. Due to supply disruptions caused by the Iran war, the U.S. total export volume reached a record level. The EIA said that in the week ending April 17, crude oil inventories increased by 1.9 million barrels to 465.7 million barrels, versus expectations for a decrease of 1.2 million barrels. The EIA added that crude oil inventories at the delivery hub in Cushing, Oklahoma increased by 806,000 barrels. Despite the unexpected inventory rise, oil prices still moved higher.
