ME News message: On May 20 (UTC+8), a Federal Reserve investigation shows that crypto usage in the United States has risen in 2025. About 10% of U.S. adults say they use or hold cryptocurrencies within the year, up from 7% in 2024, reaching the highest level since 2022. The survey indicates that about 7% of U.S. adults hold cryptocurrencies as investments, with investment exposure being the largest participation category. The approval and growth of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have affected a rebound in retail investor participation. Data shows that crypto adoption is most concentrated among adults under 45 and households with income above the national median. In addition, the role of cryptocurrencies in everyday payment transactions is still relatively small, and U.S. consumers mainly view them as investment assets. (Source: ChainCatcher)
