ME News message: On May 20 (UTC+8), a Federal Reserve survey shows that U.S. cryptocurrency usage is increasing in 2025. About 10% of U.S. adults say they use or hold cryptocurrencies within the year, up from 7% in 2024, reaching the highest level since 2022. The survey indicates that about 7% of U.S. adults hold cryptocurrencies as investments, with investment exposure being the largest participation category. The approval and growth of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs have influenced a rebound in retail participation. Data shows that cryptocurrency adoption is most concentrated among adults under 45 and households with income above the national median. In addition, cryptocurrencies still play a relatively small role in daily payment transactions, with U.S. consumers mainly viewing them as investment assets. (Source: ChainCatcher)
