Wealthsimple has finally brought prediction markets to the phones of everyday Canadians, and Kalshi’s overseas push is going strong and steady.

According to The Globe and Mail, Toronto-based online financial services platform Wealthsimple announced a partnership with the U.S. prediction market Kalshi. Wealthsimple plans to launch an independent mobile app called "Wealthsimple Predict" later this summer, providing Canadian retail investors access to nearly 4,000 event contracts on the Kalshi platform, allowing users to bet on the outcomes of real-world events. Previously, Wealthsimple had received approval from the Canadian Investment Industry Regulatory Organization (CIRO) in March 2026 to offer prediction contracts.
