Deep Tide TechFlow News, June 17th, according to the official Base documentation, the Base network will officially activate the Beryl hard fork upgrade at 18:00 UTC on June 25, 2026 (the Sepolia testnet will activate early on June 18). This upgrade mainly includes three core components:

  1. Launching the B20 native token standard, which is compatible with ERC-20, implemented in Rust precompilation, targeting stablecoin, real-world asset (RWA), and long-tail token issuers;

  2. Reducing the single proof withdrawal completion window from 7 days to 5 days, helping to release liquidity efficiency for fast bridge providers and lowering user costs when bridging through third parties; the dual proof fast path (TEE + ZK) introduced in the Azul upgrade remains unchanged at 1 day;

  3. Introducing Reth V2, which reduces disk space usage by up to 50%, and after rewriting the state root calculation pipeline, throughput increases by 33%.

Node operators must complete software upgrades to the required version before the activation date of each network, or they will be unable to operate normally.
