4 Minutes, Run When Profitable

BTC Short, Open at 65,760.2, Close at 65,576.6, 5x leverage, isolated margin.
Position duration: 4 minutes. Profit: 3.73 USDT, return rate 1.04%.
By the way, I also made two small trades: DOGE earned 0.10 (+10.41%), SUI earned 0.34.
All three trades together just over 4 dollars.
Not much money, but what I’m satisfied with this time is: I didn’t greed.
In the past, if I made 1% in 4 minutes, I definitely wouldn’t exit. I’d think “Take a bit more, maybe it can go to 3%.”
The result was often a pullback, ending with profits turning into losses, or even holding until liquidation.
This time is different. Before entering, I had already decided: this is a short-term opportunity, when it hits the target, I exit, no matter how much it rises afterward.
Not long after closing, the price indeed continued to go down.
In the past, I would definitely slap my thigh: “Should have held a bit longer!”
But not this time. Because those 4 minutes were within my planned trade, the subsequent market movement was not in my plan.
Short-term is short-term, take profits and run, no shame in that.
