New York Magazine: SBF takes daily medication for clinical depression; cellmates say he may issue his own new token after release from prison

According to New York Magazine, updates on FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF), who has been sentenced to 25 years in prison, have been revealed from the Lompoc Federal Prison in California. The 34-year-old SBF is currently taking Adderall daily for clinical depression and ADHD, and is writing a serialized prison memoir titled Manfred in his cell. Because he refused to follow the gang rules of Independent and instead insists on playing cards and chess with inmates from other ethnic groups such as The Woods and The Black, he has now been converted to an independent, non-gang identity. Notably, when his cellmate David Bunevacz asked about his plans after release, SBF said that to make big money, you must first have $50 million or $100 million in startup capital to build a real business, and claimed, “After release, I will issue my own new coin (start my own coin), and everyone will rush to it.” Bunevacz then added, “He might be joking, and they probably won’t rush to it either. But who knows?” SBF officially submitted a presidential pardon application to the Trump administration on June 8 of this year, and his probability of being granted a presidential pardon on Polymarket immediately doubled to 14%.

Writing memos in prison and still thinking about issuing new tokens—that's very SBF.

Is a 14% probability on Polymarket too high?
