U.S. intelligence agencies: Iran still has the capability to close the Strait of Hormuz again

BlockBeats News, June 17 — U.S. intelligence assessments indicate that after Iran demonstrated relevant capabilities during the conflict, it still may close the Strait of Hormuz again. Although an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz is expected to be reached, Tehran still possesses the ability to deploy missiles, drones, speedboats, and sea mines, which could disrupt global energy transportation.

Intelligence officials stated that Iran has gained leverage on this critical trade route and may use regional energy infrastructure as a tool for pressure.
