🇮🇳 In India, Telegram has been blocked for one week...

➤ Pavel Durov mocked the authorities' decision: the messenger was shut down for a week due to leaked exam questions, but they punished not the insiders, but over 150 million regular users.

➤ The logic turned out to be strange: if someone leaked exam answers on Telegram, it’s necessary to disable Telegram for the entire country.

➤ The ban didn’t change anything — leaks simply moved to other apps.

➤ The Internet Freedom Foundation also criticized the blockade: this is not a fight against exam fraud, but a crude “patch” for a systemic problem.

➤ Access to Telegram has been restricted until June 22, 2026, and editing messages for Indian users must be disabled by June 30.

➤ Over the past few weeks, hundreds of channels spreading leaked exam materials and related scams in India have been removed from Telegram.

➤ Telegram is a force for good. Banning it (even temporarily) is a mistake.
