Passenger's power bank caught fire and smoked during flight, Tianjin Airlines responds

Tianjin Airlines posted on social media that on June 15th, a passenger on flight GS7829 from Tianjin to Jieyang experienced smoke coming from a power bank they were carrying. The crew members discovered the situation immediately and promptly handled it according to procedures. During this process, no one on board was injured, and there was no damage to the onboard facilities or equipment. The flight landed safely. Tianjin Airlines reminds all passengers to prioritize not carrying power banks when traveling by plane. If you need to carry one, ensure it meets relevant requirements such as "3C certification" when checking your portable power bank. (Jiemian News)
