Actually, my somewhat soft personality started to truly change when I was in the military. The final approach is |to be tough when I need to be, and soft when I should be. The first direct confrontation happened after I transferred to a new company at the beginning of 2017. Because I was serving in a small town in Northeast China, I often encountered a group of "shao(nian) bi" who refused to listen to reason. After I chose to fight back, I was immediately marginalized by the company and eventually pulled away by the quartermaster.
