Holding positions (to manage the trade), adding margin, and opening positions for yourself are all normal strategies. But doing it for others—so-called “carrying”/holding positions on someone else’s behalf—is not allowed; these are all taboo.
So carrying positions is far more difficult than opening positions yourself.
