AI can create a robot for you in an hour, and it can quietly wipe out your money in a month.

You still completely don’t understand how your money disappeared.
This robot will trap you in four places:
Backtesting is purely wishful thinking.
Let AI run the backtest, it only does one thing:
Look at the entry price, look at the settlement price, draw a line in between.
“Win rate 81%, you’re a genius.”
No real trading rate.
No order book depth.
It doesn’t account for other robots fighting for the same position.
Your real numbers are at least 20 points lower, and then you go in with fake data.
Pretending overfitting is a holy grail.
AI is a stubborn optimistic.
Give it data, it can dig out a bunch of trivial patterns, then go all out.
“Don’t touch long positions above 17c on Tuesday, +38% return.”
All nonsense. It crashes as soon as it hits the real market.
Robots that survive rely on one or two signals, not nine conditions stacked together by coincidence.
The same question, two different answers.
Trading requires certainty.
The same input must always produce the same output.
Large models aren’t about that—ask twice, get two answers.
A robot that’s sometimes effective and sometimes not isn’t strategy; it’s a disaster disguised as strategy.
Making things overly complicated for you.
AI loves to add drama: hedging, rebalancing, merging, cross-window arbitrage, fivefold signal confirmation.
Sounds impressive, feels high-end.
Not a single top-earning robot does that.
Every extra layer is like a thunderbolt hitting you when you’re asleep at 3 a.m.
So, does that mean no AI?
Use it, but don’t entrust your life to it.
Just let it write some pipeline code.
Never let it handle core logic and backtesting.
Force it to use TOML files, which can eliminate most drift.
More than two signals? Absolutely AI trying to fool you—cut it off immediately.
I’ve built over a thousand robots. In the end, the ones that make money are the dumbest ones, the ones I let AI touch the least.

AI can give you a robot, but it can’t give you the ability to make money.
That part still requires thinking for yourself.
