#我的Gate交易时刻 The market has been especially lively recently, with AI, US stocks, and the crypto market taking turns to rise, and everyone on social media showing off their gains every day. During those days, I was also watching BTC closely, seeing the price keep hitting new highs, and I really wanted to jump in directly.
But in the end, I chose to wait.
Because I had experienced being caught in a chase and getting trapped before, I began to understand that the most important thing in trading is not catching every rise, but controlling my emotions. The market always offers opportunities; if you lose your rationality due to FOMO, even if you make money, it’s hard to stay in the market long-term.
Later, the market indeed experienced some volatility, and although I missed part of the rally, I also successfully avoided the risk of a pullback. At that moment, I suddenly realized that trading isn’t about fighting the market, but about fighting myself.
Now my trading principles have become much simpler: don’t trade if you don’t understand, don’t leverage if you’re not confident, and strictly follow your plan.
This time, seemingly doing nothing, taught me patience and discipline. For traders, sometimes “not trading” is also a form of successful trading.
