Anthropic temporarily suspends the subscription quota reform, Agent SDK and CLI continue to share the subscription quota
According to Beating monitoring, Anthropic has sent an email to subscribers announcing a delay to the originally scheduled reform of Claude developer quotas, which was set to take effect today. Previously, in May, Anthropic announced that starting June 15, the Claude Agent SDK, the claude -p command-line single-call invocation, and third-party applications built on the Agent SDK would no longer share the rate limits of web subscriptions, and would instead switch to a fixed monthly quota billing model (for example, Pro subscribers would be allocated a $20 monthly quota, and any excess would be billed via the API).
The notice email sent by Anthropic shows that the decision to postpone the effective date is to optimize the paid plan, so that it better aligns with developers’ needs for building applications using Claude subscriptions. During the policy delay period, all calls initiated through the developer kit or via the command line will continue to follow the original web subscription rules, and developers do not need to apply for any quotas. The existing subscription limits will also remain unchanged. Anthropic has promised to notify users in advance before the future quota adjustment plan formally goes into effect.
