The Bank of Japan officially enters the era of integer interest rates.

Ending the era of decimal points.
For the first time since 1995.
After experiencing the Plaza Accord of 1985 and the early-1990s crash in Japan’s stock market, the more than 30-year era of low interest rates and negative interest rates has officially come to an end.
This time, it has been raised to 1%.
The impact on the market is still relatively significant.
It is mainly driven by sentiment rather than by actual market liquidity.
After all, as a major economy, Japan’s interest rate still remains the lowest among the central banks of the world’s major economies.
