Standard Chartered: Expected Uniswap token UNI to rise to $100 by 2030

Abstract generation in progress
Coin World reports that Standard Chartered Bank has, for the first time, begun coverage of the decentralized trading protocol Uniswap and predicts that its UNI token will rise from the current approximately $2.70 to $100 by the end of 2030, an increase of nearly 40 times. Geoffrey Kendrick, Global Head of Digital Asset Research at Standard Chartered, said that the next round of wealth opportunities in the digital asset sector may come from DEFI protocols. The core logic is that the tokenized asset scale entering DEFI will grow significantly, thereby boosting the trading asset base and the fee potential of protocols such as Uniswap. Standard Chartered expects that the on-chain tokenized asset size will grow from the current approximately $340 billion to $4 trillion by the end of 2028, with the share entering DEFI rising from the current 3.5% to 30% by the end of 2030. Combined with the growth of crypto-native assets, DEFI locked-in assets may reach approximately $27 trillion, which is about 37 times higher than the current level. Kendrick believes that if Uniswap can successfully commercialize and establish partnerships with traditional financial institutions at a sufficiently large scale, the valuation multiple between market capitalization and trading fees could increase, helping narrow the gap with centralized trading platforms such as Coinbase.

He farts—does the token actually have any utility? The ones making money are the project team, not the token. It’s just pumping the price and then selling off.

Standard Chartered's prediction is quite aggressive; thinking about 40 times is just exciting.

What does a TVL of 2.7 trillion mean? How much is the entire crypto market now?

By 2030, on-chain assets totaling 40 trillion—this “pie” is drawn even bigger than DeFi summer.
