The trade that changed my perspective wasn't my biggest gain, but a loss.
In early 2025, I identified a bullish setup in BTC following a strong breakout above a significant resistance zone. My analysis was initially correct, and the position quickly went into profit.
Instead of following my original plan, greed took over.
Convinced that a bigger move was coming, I ignored my profit-taking levels. The market said otherwise. Within days, BTC reversed sharply, wiping out most of my unrealized gains and ultimately forcing me to hit a stop-loss near the break-even point.
The financial impact was small, but the psychological lesson was huge.
This trade taught me that successful trading isn't about perfectly predicting the market. It's about executing a plan with discipline.
Since then, I've focused on:
✅ Identifying risk before each trade
✅ Taking profits according to plan
✅ Protecting capital instead of chasing profits
✅ Remaining emotionally neutral during volatility
Ironically, my consistency only improved after I stopped trying to maximize every opportunity.
The market rewards discipline more than guesswork.
