BlockBeats News, June 15 — According to Xinhua News Agency, an insider disclosed details of the process of the Iran–U.S. side finalizing a ceasefire memorandum, saying that after Israel attacked Lebanon on the 14th, the U.S. proposed new concession conditions to advance the diplomatic process.

The source said that at the time, Iran was already prepared to launch a new round of large-scale military strikes against Israel, and the negotiations were on the verge of collapse. But after U.S. President Trump’s intervention, the U.S. put forward new concession conditions in exchange for Iran not carrying out strikes targeting Israel. Iran ultimately believed that the agreement aligned with Iran’s national interests and the interests of the Lebanese people.

The source also said that the most important changes in the final stage of the memorandum mainly included two items: first, the original plan to gradually lift the maritime blockade against Iran within 30 days was revised to lift the blockade immediately; second, the scope of the ceasefire further clarified that it would cover all fronts, including Lebanon, and added wording emphasizing respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
