Marss Finance News: As the prosperity of the artificial intelligence industry continues to rise, the demand for AI chips and high-end storage chips is booming. And in the production of these chips, a special consumable—electronic specialty gases—is indispensable. Electronic specialty gases are electronic-grade gases with a purity higher than 99.99%, belonging to the core materials in the field of electronic chemicals, and are also known as the blood of the semiconductor industry. Driven by strong downstream demand, many core products in the electronic specialty gas market are currently in short supply. Several responsible persons from specialty gas manufacturing companies told reporters that their order books have significantly increased, and their production lines are operating at high capacity. At a specialty gas logistics and transportation company in Pudong New Area, Shanghai, workers dressed in professional protective gear are strictly following operational standards to unload, inspect, and warehouse hundreds of types of electronic specialty gases. The company’s responsible person stated that many of these products are ultimately sent to semiconductor wafer factories. Since some electronic specialty gases are flammable and explosive high-risk chemicals, customers usually keep zero inventory. According to the company’s responsible person, since the beginning of this year, the transportation demand for electronic specialty gases from semiconductor wafer manufacturers has exploded, almost pushing the company’s delivery schedule to full capacity.
