Deep Tide TechFlow News: On June 15, according to CriptoNoticias, Chilean judicial authorities have launched an investigation into the cryptocurrency platform Plusspay, alleging that it provided money-laundering channels for the transnational criminal organization Aragua Train. The investigation shows that the platform, either directly or through multiple affiliated companies, converts local fiat currency into stablecoins such as Tether and USD stablecoins, and transfers funds using Chile’s banking system. The scale of the related suspicious fund flows exceeds 84 million US dollars.

At present, Plusspay’s office premises in Chile have been searched, and its founder, José Manuel Ríos Guajardo, has had an arrest warrant issued. The platform has suspended operations and has released a statement denying any connection to organized crime.
