The trade that broke me also rebuilt me. #MyGateTradeStory

It wasn't a moonshot. It was a slow bleed in early 2025. I was glued to charts, chasing every green candle like it was my last chance. Leverage felt like a superpower — until it wasn't. One morning, I woke up to a liquidation email. The number on the screen didn't shock me. What shocked me was realizing I'd done this exact dance three times before. Same hope. Same end.

That afternoon, I sat down on Gate.io and did something I'd never done: I watched a top copy trader's portfolio for a full week without touching a single trade. No entries. No exits. Just observation. And I saw something I'd been missing — they didn't win every time. But they never blew up. Their position sizes were boring. Their stop losses were automatic. They treated trading like a job, not a lottery.

That week changed my relationship with the market. I stopped asking "What can I gain?" and started asking "What can I lose?" I moved from chasing pumps to protecting capital. From random entries to structured plans. From ego to process.

Today, my P&L is still humbling — but it's green over six months. Not because I found a secret indicator, but because I finally understood that surviving is winning. The real edge isn't a strategy that always works. It's waking up with a clear head and a risk limit you actually respect.

If you're stuck in the same loop I was, stop looking for the perfect trade. Look for the process that keeps you in the game. That's the only lesson that's ever paid me back.

Thanks @Gate__Square for giving traders a space to grow — and fail — openly. #MyGateTradeStory
