#美伊协议达成海峡将开放 Yes, according to multiple sources from the United States, Iran, and others, an agreement has been reached that will open the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. President Donald Trump announced on June 14 local time that the U.S.-Iran agreement "is now complete," officially authorizing the full opening of the Strait of Hormuz and immediately lifting the U.S. naval blockade.
Below are the key details of the agreement:
· Signing time: The formal signing ceremony is scheduled for June 19 in Switzerland, possibly attended by U.S. Vice President Vance.
· Core content:
· Immediate ceasefire: Military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will cease immediately and permanently.
· Sanctions relief: The U.S. will grant Iran exemptions for oil exports, but this will not be a one-time comprehensive lift, instead phased based on compliance.
· Nuclear issue: Iran commits not to acquire nuclear weapons, and both sides will conduct 60 days of follow-up technical negotiations on nuclear program details.
· Follow-up arrangements: Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister stated that after Iran verifies the U.S. fulfills its commitments (such as unfreezing assets), a 60-day negotiation will be launched to determine the full lifting of sanctions, nuclear issues, and economic reconstruction details.
· China’s statement: On June 15, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said they noted the memorandum of understanding and hope the Strait will soon restore safe and free passage.
This agreement ends the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, which has been in place since February 2026 due to conflicts, and the global energy market responded quickly.
