Mars Finance News: Today (15th), it was learned from China National Nuclear Corporation that Chinese scientists have made a key breakthrough in the field of stable isotope enrichment. For the first time, they have successfully achieved autonomous mass production of Silicon-28 isotopes with an abundance exceeding 99.99%, and the key product indicators have reached internationally advanced levels. This marks a substantial step forward in China’s efforts to build an independent, controllable, and efficiently coordinated stable isotope industry layout. According to reports, aside from quantum computing, Silicon-28 with ultra-high abundance also has important application prospects in cutting-edge fields such as advanced-process semiconductor manufacturing, high-end navigation, and measurement benchmarks. The team from the Nuclear Industry Physical and Chemical Engineering Research Institute of China National Nuclear Corporation that completed this breakthrough had previously achieved the production of 12 elements, including molybdenum, tellurium, and nickel, as well as 26 stable isotopes, continuously promoting the engineering and industrialization of stable isotope separation technology.
