Wu says it learned that Zelle’s operator, Early Warning Services, announced that India will become the first country for U.S. users to send remittances to overseas friends and family via Zelle, with the service expected to go live by the end of this year. The company also launched its own USD-backed stablecoin, ZelleUSD (ZLUSD), to support international payment capabilities in other markets in the future, with more details to be released in the coming months. Early Warning Services is jointly owned by seven U.S. financial institutions, including Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo.
