Bitcoin Faces Pressure as U.S. CPI Hits 4.2%, a 3-Year High

U.S. consumer prices rose 4.2% year-over-year in May 2026, the highest reading in three years. CoinMarketCap showed Bitcoin trading at $62,880 at the time of writing after a 36% decline since Jan. 1. Markus Thielen of 10x Research said the May CPI figure is not encouraging enough to prompt meaningful Wall Street reallocation into Bitcoin.
