Dressing neatly and respectfully is enough; there's no need to be overly luxurious, especially women should avoid wearing skirts!
Before entering the hall, cleanse your hands and mind, and avoid excessive laughter and playfulness.
Make your wishes as specific and positive as possible, such as "smooth career, good health," and avoid wishes that harm others.
After your wishes come true, remember to make offerings or do good deeds.
Burning incense is about sincerity, not about having many or expensive incense.
