#广场预测世界杯赢40000U Who is this year's World Cup champion?
Every time the World Cup comes around, besides supporting your favorite teams and players, fans are most interested in which team will lift the Holy Grail, and predicting the champion is a popular topic among major media outlets. Specifically, for this year's North America, Mexico, and Canada World Cup, who will be the final champion?
Don't worry, let's analyze it slowly.
This year is the 23rd World Cup, and among the previous 22 tournaments, 8 countries have won the championship: Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Spain, France, England, and Uruguay. These are basically the countries of the five major European leagues and the three South American giants. Although each World Cup has dark horses, their limit is usually runner-up. This year's World Cup champion is 99% likely to be one of these 8 countries. Considering Uruguay's last victory was in the "ancient times" and their recent strength has been limited, we further narrow the scope to 7 countries: Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, Spain, France, and England.
Italy has missed the World Cup for three consecutive tournaments, so we exclude Italy, leaving 6 countries: Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Spain, France, and England.
Since 1962, no country has successfully defended its World Cup title. The reason is that the strength of the top teams is quite close, and the same group of players often cannot maintain peak performance over four years due to injuries and other reasons. The 2022 World Cup champion was Argentina, so we exclude Argentina, leaving 5 countries: Brazil, Germany, Spain, France, and England.
The highest level of football competition in the world currently is the UEFA Champions League. Since clubs can use foreign players and train together year-round, both coordination and competitive level surpass the World Cup. Interestingly, the World Cup champion is closely related to the previous year's Champions League winner. For example, in 2009, the Champions League winner was Barcelona, a Spanish club with many Spanish players like Piqué, Xavi, Iniesta, etc., and the 2010 World Cup champion was Spain; in 2013, Bayern Munich won the Champions League, with many German players like Neuer, Schweinsteiger, Boateng, Kroos, and the 2014 World Cup champion was Germany; in 2017, Real Madrid won the Champions League, with French players Benzema and Varane, and their head coach was Frenchman Zinedine Zidane, leading to France winning the World Cup in 2018. Following this pattern, the 2025 Champions League winner is Paris Saint-Germain. In the final, PSG's starting eleven includes 3 Portuguese players, 2 French players, 1 Brazilian, 1 Spanish player, and their coach is Spaniard Enrique. PSG does not have German or English players, so we exclude those two countries, leaving Brazil, Spain, and France. So, which of these three countries do you think is most likely to win? Feel free to leave a comment.
