Damn—Alipay is secretly rolling out a top-level overhaul that could upend all the “app survival paths” in the country.

According to leaked insider information from sources including The Financial Times and Bloomberg, the prototype testing with embedded AI agents has already been completed, and compliance approvals could be underway as early as this month at the latest.
In the future, when users swipe right on the main interface, they’ll directly summon the highest-strategic-level AI Agent, which can recognize your plain, everyday wording and then automatically call millions of mini-programs to help you compare prices, place orders, and even buy coffee.
On the other side, Ant is also done holding back—they’re directly running a grayscale test of Alipay’s Super App, introducing a full-featured AI assistant “Abao” that not only helps you hail a ride and order takeout, but—once authorized—can even directly help you buy fund wealth management products.
