Zimbabwe Mandates Annual Crypto Registration Under First Industry Rules

Zimbabwe introduced its first specific crypto regulations, requiring annual registration and a $500 fee for crypto firms. Firms involved in crypto trading, transfers, and custody must register with the Financial Intelligence Unit each year. Operating without a license will be considered a regulatory violation. The industry had previously operated in a legally ambiguous area.
