Deep Tide TechFlow News, on June 14, industry observer Aakash Gupta said on a social platform that Coinbase has completed an on-chain transfer of approximately 43.97 billion USDC on the HyperEVM network. The transaction achieved final settlement through a single block, with confirmation taking place at the seconds level, and the on-chain transaction fee was zero.

It is understood that the transferred funds consist of USDC issued by Circle and have been deployed into the Hyperliquid ecosystem to support the margin and settlement system for the platform’s derivatives markets.

Market analysis believes that this transaction demonstrates the efficiency advantages of blockchain infrastructure in scenarios involving large-scale fund transfers. Without the need for traditional banking clearing networks, cross-institution reconciliation, and complex intermediary processes, funds can complete final settlement while significantly reducing transaction costs.

By contrast, in traditional centralized trading systems, funds of the same scale typically need to go through multiple layers of custody, internal ledger adjustments, and risk-control reviews, resulting in relatively higher overall settlement cycles and operating costs.

Industry insiders believe that such “seconds-level large-amount settlement” cases are reinforcing the narrative of the development of on-chain financial infrastructure, especially in areas such as perpetual contracts, stablecoin settlement, and real-world assets (RWA). On-chain clearing models are drawing increasing attention from more and more market participants.
