Japan Moves to Treat Crypto as a Financial Instrument

Japan's government reportedly approved a bill that would reduce crypto taxes from 55% to 20%. The bill would curb insider trading and require regular issuer disclosures. Selling unregistered crypto assets could carry prison sentences of up to 10 years and fines up to $62,800.
