Mars Finance News: On June 14, the Smart Brain Racing Foundation launched the 2026 HOPE (Hitch Open Ping-Pong Embodied) AI autonomous decision-making robot table tennis challenge, which is jointly operated by Hitch Open and Beiao Group. After review by the organizing committee, it was officially selected as a main event for the main-event competition of the second World Humanoid Robot Sports Games, to be held from August 22 to 26, 2026, at the Beijing National Speed Skating Oval “Ice Ribbon.”

The event requires the robots to complete the entire process with no human intervention, performing visual perception, ball-path prediction, shot strategy, and whole-body coordinated control within millisecond-level windows. It is regarded as a highly representative “stress test” for embodied intelligence, with the goal of establishing a repeatable, comparable, and evolvable real-world benchmark for physical intelligence—an “AlphaGo moment” for the embodied era.
