Mars Finance News, June 13 — According to Reuters, Polish President Karol Nawrocki stated in a declaration that he has vetoed a cryptocurrency regulation bill for the third time because the bill did not incorporate his previously proposed opinions. The Polish parliament passed the bill in May of this year, aiming to regulate the cryptocurrency industry. Prior to this, the bill's progress attracted significant attention amid ongoing scandals triggered by the collapse of the country's largest crypto exchange platform and increasing disputes over the level of industry regulation. The bill aims to implement the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA), and Poland needs to complete related legislative approval by July. Nawrocki had previously vetoed similar bills twice. He expressed support for regulating the crypto industry but criticized the Polish government for ignoring most of the amendments proposed by his office during the legislative process. He said, "I support regulation of this market, and I also support consumer protection, but it must be done effectively." He added that he would sign the bill into law if it were amended.
