The first reason I chose to stay on Gate is so funny that I even think it’s ridiculous to say it myself—it’s because I liked watching Gate’s customer service representative Zining’s live streams. By an accident one day, I came across Zining’s live room, and I was instantly drawn in by that Vietnamese girl. It felt more interesting than scrolling other videos😃
Three years ago, a friend invited me to register a G account. At the time, I knew nothing about the crypto world, and I also felt resistant in my heart. But I didn’t want to refuse awkwardly, so I just registered an account casually. One day, when my friend brought it up again, I opened the app and, without intending to, I saw Zining’s live stream. I was attracted by her cheerful, upbeat, and cute personality, so I stopped to watch her live stream. After that, I only kept watching her streams!
What truly made me pause and want to understand it was a new token subscription airdrop. Back then, the airdrop was random. That day, I noticed that I inexplicably had some assets in my account. When I asked my friend, I learned it was an airdrop distributed by the platform. Even though it was only a few zero-point-something dollars, it sparked my curiosity. After that, I gradually started to learn about the platform’s various features, and my crypto journey began.
What I will always remember is last year’s 1011 great crash. Before that, I had two SOL and ETH long positions, both full positions, and they had been in profit with good returns. At the time, I had no risk awareness at all. I didn’t know how to set take profit and stop loss. As a result, when an extreme market situation hit, all my positions were liquidated, and my profits were wiped out overnight. Although it wasn’t a huge amount, getting hit like that is real pain😣
Telling you about my personal experience is meant to give friends who are new to the crypto world a reminder: the crypto market’s volatility is especially intense, so position management must be strictly carried out. Whether you trade spot or open positions on contracts, you must always set take profit and stop loss to protect your principal—only then can you go farther. After all, if you make money by luck without discipline, sooner or later you’ll pay the market back with your own strength!
