What’s Starlink’s “dimensionality-reduction knockout”? Traditional space exploration has been going for 60 years, but SpaceX has crushed it in just a few short years! As of June 2026, Spacex has launched nearly 12,000 Starlink satellites, of which about 1,600 satellites, after completing their missions or being retired, re-enter the atmosphere and burn up. Currently, about 10,400 satellites are still in orbit, accounting for two-thirds of all satellites in orbit worldwide—and it continues to grow with the frequent launches of Falcon 9!
