Brazil vs Morocco — Samba Army's Debut, Opportunities and Risks Under High Odds
I just checked my positions on Polymarket, and for the Brazil vs Morocco match, I bet on "Brazil to win," putting in 3.43U, with a potential payout of 5.82U, implying an approximate 59% probability. Honestly, this odds aren’t particularly high for Brazil, but I think the market might be underestimating Morocco’s resilience. Brazil is a favorite to win the championship, no doubt, but Morocco reached the semifinals in the last World Cup, with very strong defensive organization. Key players like Ziyech and Achraf are still in their prime. So I don’t plan to heavily bet on this game; just over 3U as a way to enjoy the match.
First, look at the fundamentals. Brazil’s team nearly swept South America during the qualifiers, with young attackers like Vinicius, Rodrigo, and Endrick in great form. But Brazil has an old problem: when facing dense defenses, they lack a pivotal striker to break through. Morocco is likely to set up a 5-4-1 formation, with Achraf and Mazraoui dropping back as full-backs, and Seth and Aouar in the middle as tall, strong center-backs. It won’t be easy for Brazil to easily break through this defensive line. Additionally, Brazil’s starting goalkeeper Alisson is excellent, but Morocco’s counterattack is very fast; En-Nesyri alone can disrupt the entire defense.
Looking at the predicted market flow, Brazil’s win probability has decreased from 63% at opening to 59%, indicating some smart money is selling Brazil and buying the draw or Morocco. My own estimate is: Brazil has about a 55% chance to win, a 30% chance for a draw, and a 15% chance for Morocco to pull off an upset. So a 3.43U position is reasonable—no need to chase or reduce. If before kickoff the starting lineup shows Brazil rotating players (like starting Endrick), I might add a small hedge on the draw. Also, consider watching the “Total Goals Under 2.5” option, as both teams might play cautiously.
Finally, a reminder: don’t get carried away by the word “Brazil.” Morocco is not a pushover. I will keep tracking the odds changes for this match on Gate Square, and welcome everyone to discuss together.
