Wu said that the liquidity staking protocol Stader Labs officially announced it will gradually shut down its Polygon liquidity staking token MaticX. Starting today, MaticX has stopped accepting new fund deposits and has fully transitioned to a "claims-only" state. The official announcement states that the MaticX application frontend (dApp UI) will be officially deprecated and taken offline on August 3, 2026. Before this date, users can still perform instant redemptions through the dApp at a fixed exchange rate; after the frontend is closed on August 3, 2026, and until August 3, 2029, users can still directly claim their MATIC assets via the Etherscan contract page.
