According to CriptoNoticias, Manuel Adorni, Argentina’s Chief of the Cabinet, filed a property correction declaration on June 11, disclosing an additional Bitcoin holding of approximately $513,000. The report says that federal prosecutors previously found he had carried out digital-asset transactions of more than $340,000 that were not declared, and believe the size of the related assets is disproportionate to his salary level. The report notes that although he has already submitted correction filings in accordance with Argentina’s “Ley de Inocencia Fiscal,” the criminal investigation into suspected illegal enrichment is still ongoing, and prosecutors are cross-checking his declaration with technical reports provided by cryptocurrency exchanges.

The federal prosecutors' investigation is quite detailed; exchange data can be cross-verified, and on-chain transparency is a double-edged sword.

The name of this bill, Ley de Inocencia Fiscal, is pretty ironic—“innocent,” huh? Haha.

510k dollars probably isn't a lot for the cabinet chief, but not reporting it is a whole different matter.

Argentine officials are also hoarding BTC; this move shows they are personally backing cryptocurrencies.
