SPCX’s Single-Day Trading Volume Breaks $85.1 Billion, Setting a New Record in US Stock IPO History

On June 13, according to Eric Balchunas, SpaceX stock (code: $SPCX) performed astonishingly on its first day of public trading, easily setting a new historical record for IPO single-day trading volume and ranking among the top ten for single-day trading volume across all stocks.

By comparison, SPCX’s single-day trading volume surpassed $85.1 billion—so large that it even exceeds Apple’s total trading volume on any single trading day within the past forty years.

In addition, he previously posted a market prediction question and said he estimated $SPCX the first-day trading volume to be $58 billion, but netizen StevenUhey gave a prediction of $69 billion, the closest guess to the actual data among all comments.

Also, based on the intraday trading volume ranking data for that day, SpaceX (SPCX) led by a wide margin with $85.1 billion, far ahead of second-place Micron Technology (MU) with $40.4 billion and third-place Tesla with $25.4 billion.
