Emerging Market ETFs listed in the U.S. face consecutive third-week outflows

Last week, investors withdrew funds from the third consecutive week from exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that invest in emerging market stocks and bonds listed in the United States, but the pace of withdrawals slowed. By market segment, Brazil experienced the largest outflows, while South Korea shifted to inflows. As of the week ending June 5, the total outflow of funds from ETFs listed in the U.S. that invest in multiple developing countries and specific emerging markets was $460 million, compared to $1.45 billion in the previous week. Year-to-date, total inflows amounted to $40.8 billion. By market segment, Brazil experienced the largest outflows at $303 million. South Korea experienced the largest inflows at $85.6 million.
