I like interesting people. I’ve always believed that achievements are something you get by playing. First of all, you have to be fun—you have to enjoy playing—so you can throw yourself into it and truly take joy in it. Every day, you wear the look of someone fighting tooth and nail, bitter and resentful, brow furrowed, under pressure that feels like a mountain—most of what you make is probably lifeless too. I love the lively, agile life out in the mountains and wild places. I love the jumping souls in the urban jungle. Do what you love to do—not because you’re forced, not because you feel helpless, not because you’re suppressing yourself. Don’t put on airs for others, don’t do yourself a disservice, and don’t let your past reputation weigh you down.
