Many people ask me what you can actually gain from being a Taiwan ambassador?
Stage? Resources? Money?
Honestly, these things are not that abundant.
But I still want to share my honest thoughts.
2/
I’ve also been criticized many times: “Zhou is earning his own money, flying abroad by himself, what’s the point?”
Facing some inexplicable hurt in my previous circle, I also doubted life several times, thinking: Who the hell cares about these people?
But later, it was a few words from some overseas guests that completely influenced me.

A friend who is now a well-known project CEO told me:
“If you can bring overseas energy back to Taiwan, that’s the best influence.”
After chatting with Ni Da at #TBW2025 last time, I also asked him:
“You’re already so wealthy, why do you keep working in the crypto space?”
He simply replied: “Because I’ve been influenced by this circle, and I also want to give back to it.”

Like many others before, I used to think Taiwan’s scene was so small, every year just self-indulgence.
Unable to see the future, and feeling it’s not very meaningful.
But because of the #TBW group, I changed my mind.
5/
They usually aren’t in Taiwan every day or month, but every time there’s an event, they gather for Taiwan’s crypto ecosystem and do their part.
Extremely low-profile, without the huge capital backing like KBW, yet they endure all kinds of criticism, attacks, and mudslinging.
I know they have many shortcomings, but they are truly pure.
That’s something I especially respect.
6/
This year, #TBW has evolved into FUTUREMODE,
We hope to combine Taiwan’s strongest hardware and software, AI, tech topics, with crypto, to create more future-oriented and richer events.
7/
Gradually, I no longer care so much about those words that once criticized me.
Because my overseas friends have often given me great inspiration and help.
If we can invite them to Taiwan,
Maybe there will be a student or a confused friend in the audience, just like I was back then—even if they don’t understand English, they’ll use a translator to transcribe and learn, but as they listen, they might suddenly be saved by a certain sentence from the speaker.
8/
Anything that blocks your growth and progress is always yourself.
I believe even Jensen Huang wouldn’t go to the night market and say to the corn vendor at Raohe Street: “I eat your corn, what good can I get?”
Taiwan isn’t only #黃仁勳、# Jay Chou who can be a promoter. Anyone, with a volunteer spirit and a pure love for Taiwan, can contribute their small energy, right?
Of course, you can also choose not to,
Everyone has their own heart’s desire.
9/
Just a sudden impulse,
Sincerely respect this group of people who silently dedicate themselves to Taiwan’s crypto scene every year and persevere.
See you on site.
