Perplexity AI Agent Integration with Deep Research: Doubling Success Rates on Complex Tasks

Bijie News: Perplexity has announced that it has integrated Deep Research as a native skill into its AI agent system, Computer, and it is now available to Pro and Max subscription users. The Computer version of Deep Research is built on a brand-new Search as Code architecture and the Agent Search SDK. During operation, the model writes code itself to construct search workflows, executing thousands of retrieval steps in parallel to deliver tailored searches for each specific question. Users can not only import local files and applications to provide internal background information, but also cross-reference real-time web data. This version breaks down complex problems into multiple sub-tasks and schedules more than 20 cutting-edge models to collaborate in solving them. Benchmark results show that Deep Research integrated into Computer outperforms the older version in multiple evaluations, with accuracy significantly improved across several tests.
