HYPE's net buy order in the next 24 hours reaches $11.5 million, with the largest buy order coming from a whale with significant short positions buying spot to lock in holdings.
On June 12, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, due to HYPE's intraday rebound, the near 24-hour TWAP (time-weighted average price) spot net buy volume on Hyperliquid reached $11.5 million.
Apart from a suspected A16Z-related wallet continuously accumulating through 10 addresses, another whale plans to buy 83k HYPE tokens, becoming the largest single TWAP buy order during this period.
Next, three things need to be watched: whether related funds continue to flow in, whether on-chain trading volume and holdings keep expanding, and whether the project team or regulators provide new confirmation information.
A single news flash can only indicate that sentiment has been ignited; subsequent data will determine whether it can develop into a trend.
Risks should also be considered: it is reported that this whale previously held about $2.4 million in short positions on Hyperliquid, and due to HYPE's rebound, unrealized losses expanded to $660k (-152%), exceeding the position's principal.
To hedge risk, this address plans to buy spot and increase short positions simultaneously to dilute costs, with the total short position expected to expand to $7.33 million.
